Finishing Up McKellar Cottage and New Project GTA
We are going up on Wednesday morning September 6th, 2006 to finish up the cottage in McKellar. We are expecting delivery of 2 windows that were short shipped and we will finish up the siding. The reward for working hard every day was the swim in the refreshing lake every night. There was already a bunk house on the property so it was quite convenient and comfortable as we did stay at the job site during the week. McKellar is a wonderful picturesque area 20 kilometers east of Parry Sound. Pictures of the completed cottage will be posted shortly.
We have while waiting for supplies for McKellar, started a downtown Toronto renovation project August 24, 2006. When removing the plaster and wooden lathe, in-between the 2×4’s we found a newspaper dated in the year 1913. That answered the present day curiosity concerning when these semi-detached homes were built. The electrician is re-wiring in Toronto, while we are North finishing the McKellar cottage.
